Polar Mobility offers a comprehensive range of transport refrigeration units and systems to meet the needs of your industry. All our products offer reliability, performance, and efficiency to keep your cargo fresh, frozen, or deep-frozen, in the most demanding conditions. Our range of systems includes:
Built for long hauls, remote routes, and heavy-duty applications, diesel-driven units operate independently from your vehicle’s engine. That means reliable cooling even when parked or idling restrictions apply.
These systems draw power directly from the vehicle’s engine, delivering efficient, dependable cooling while on the move. They’re a simple, cost-effective option for fleets that spend most of their time on the road.
Fully electric refrigeration offers quiet, zero-emission operation—perfect for urban deliveries and small fleets. These units plug into the main power or run off vehicle batteries or inverters for total flexibility.

Transport refrigeration units work by removing heat from inside the cargo enclosure to help products remain at the required temperatures when they leave the supplier.
Transport refrigeration units have three main parts:
The refrigerant is circulated through the refrigeration system, which uses the evaporator to absorb heat from the inside and the condenser to release heat to the outside. The three components must be properly sized to work well together.
Refrigerated trucks are equipped with transport refrigeration units that absorb heat from the cargo area to maintain the desired temperature. It does this with liquid refrigerant that enters the evaporator from the condenser, where it is converted to a high-temperature liquid. The air that passes over the evaporator coil’s tubing and fins cools the refrigerant.
A transport refrigeration system meets the demand for delivering fresh, perishable goods to the end customer or through the supply chain. Mobile transport refrigeration units are compact and easy to install. They can handle a wide range of goods that require temperature-controlled transportation, including electronics, art, medical items, flowers, and personal care products, among others.
With over 44 years of experience, Polar Mobility is a trusted partner for fleet operators across Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer. We provide reliable, Canadian-made or designed refrigeration and HVAC systems that keep your cargo protected and your fleet moving—no matter the climate or challenge.
